A Safari On The Outskirts Of Johannesburg:


The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve is a privately owned game reserve located on the northwestern outskirts of Johannesburg. Covering 1,600 hectares of Highveld landscape, this reserve was founded in 1985 and opened to the public in 1990. Today, it is home to over 600 animals representing 25 species, including rhinos, wildebeest, hippos, and a variety of antelope such as gemsbok and eland. The reserve is also situated within the world-famous Cradle of Humankind, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich archaeological significance.



Tour Highlights:


  1. Lion and Predator Camp – Observe cheetahs, lions, and endangered wild dogs in a secure yet natural habitat.
  2. Crocodile Enclosure – Learn about these prehistoric reptiles and witness them in their environment.
  3. Animal Crèche (Optional Extra) – Get up close to young animals such as lion and tiger cubs or zebra foals (subject to availability). Visitors may have the opportunity to touch and take photographs with selected animals.
